The Dawson Creek Curling Club is excited to welcome a new season
and we anticipate another exciting year.
SWISS CHALET NATIONAL
at the ENCANA EVENTS CENTRE
Sign up sheets are available on the bulletin board at the
DCCC if you would like to volunteer at the National Swiss Chalet
men’s curling event. The top men’s curling teams will
be at the Encana Events Centre Jan. 25-29, 2012, and the DCCC will
be partnering with event organizers to help volunteer activities.
We need your help in the following areas: on-ice officials, transportation,
50/50 and program sellers, statisticians and ice/event setup. The
club receives a percentage of the 50/50 and program sales. Each
volunteer who works a minimum number of shifts receives a jacket,
and event pass, value $275.
As well, if you, friends or family members are looking to buy tickets
for the event, buying them online can also benefit the club: go
to dawsonco-optickets.com, and use code DCCC12. Ten per cent of
sales using this code will be donated back to the club. See the
posters at the club for more details.
A meeting for people interested in volunteering will be held on
Sunday, Jan. 8 at the Curling Club at 1 pm.
REGISTRATION FEES
All members are reminded that the deadline for the
payment of registration fees has passed. Curlers who have not paid
their fees will be assessed a 10 per cent surcharge, and will not
be able to curl in any regular league at the Dawson Creek Curling
Club until the fees are paid.
CONCESSION BOOTH
A reminder to all curlers that the concession booth at the Dawson
Creek Curling Club serves great food at a reasonable price. If you
are a little rushed on game night, or just need a snack or a beverage,
the club appreciates your patronage at our concession.
